The portal LIS Learning will helps to impart LIS education to all types of professionals, researchers and other learners. The whole content of the portal has been divided in to various categories such as Faculty Corner, Professionals Corner, Researchers Corner, Students Corner etc. to meet the information requirements of the all sections of the LIS community.
Hyperlinks have been given to access information from related and relevant websites of various organizations, institutions and people so that Library and Information professionals, researchers and students can make use of available information and also can be learned new skills to meet modern technological as well as professional challenges.
The project was funded by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi under its Major Research Project Grant (2012-2014) sanctioned to Prof.(Dr.) P.M Naushad Ali as Principal Investigator. Presently content enrichment of the portal is maintained by Dr. Ali and his research team of Department of Library and Information Science and the maintenance expenses has been met by Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India.
